Ken began selling real estate in the summer of 1967. Following his graduation from the University of Southern California in 1969, he chose to return to his hometown to work with his father in his real estate office he had opened in Kerman in 1950.
In 1971, Ken became a partner in the firm of J. H. Boyd & Son. In 1990, he purchased the company from his father.
Ken has been involved in approximately 34 small subdivisions as either a developer, a coordinator, marketer, or a combination of such in the city of Kerman and built a little over 1,400 homes, representing 32% of all homes in Kerman.
He has owned many farms, starting with his first purchase in 1975, which produced alfalfa. He has had vineyards, peaches, plums, citrus, and almonds.
In addition, he has a private loan business in which his investors loan out funds secured by real property, allowing borrowers who may not qualify elsewhere to obtain funds to meet their needs and achieve their dreams.
Ken has aided multiple generations of local families with their real estate transactions, provided investment opportunities and fulfilled borrowing needs in his office and outside of his office has served his community and many others across the county as well as worldwide through his service in Rotary International and the church.
Ken and his lovely wife, Susan, have raised a family of four in Kerman and are now proud grandparents of 17 and great-grandparents of 4!
Although he says he is “semi-retired,” you can find Ken in the office most days! Call to book an appointment.
